The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) is the national organization which represents the concerns and issues of companies who use "in-house" or dedicated truck fleets to support distribution of their products and services.

Members benefit from NPTC's work on a wide range of issues, including federal and state tax regulations, safety, and environmental issues. NPTC counsels agencies on regulatory and rulemaking proceedings and, when appropriate, participates in court cases.

PFMI sponsors: the Certified Private Fleet Manager (CPFM) program, the only certification program for private fleet managers; the six-day Fleet/Transportation Management Series, the most comprehensive collection of private fleet management knowledge available in the industry.
